Imaginations will run wild with all the building and programming possibilities the Cyber K'NEX Ultra set provides. Mectron the robot, Drax the dragon, Zap the guard, Sarge the tank, and Woof the dog each have their own Cyber Key, which unleashes their distinct personalities. These mechanical minions talk, move, and shoot projectiles. They have light, sound, infrared, and impact sensors that activate different behaviors. (Bump into one of these on a midnight kitchen raid and you might be bombarded with lights, alarms, or flying missiles.) The Ultra set also includes a Programmable Cyber Key that can be used to download more personalities, and a Cyber Controller for recording original routines. Special Cyber motors, sensors, lights, battery packs, ports, processors, and control pads are included in this set. Runs on four AA and six AAA batteries, which are not included. --M. Sullivan

I just don't have enough nice things to say about this toy! The models are engaging and fun to build, and as is the case with most K'NEX toys, the play doesn't stop just because the construction stage is over. This toy responds to the child's commands, has its own set of personalities, and reacts to its environment.

Very engaging!

My only complaint is that the Nerf-like missiles that it fires are exactly the right size to be dangerously deadly choking hazards for younger children.

I would also like to praise the K'NEX company for its quick response to a minor problem: One of the computer processors in the set didn't work properly, and the company shipped out a replacement -- at no charge whatsoever -- overnight!

K'NEX -- if only it had been around when I was a kid!
