The boys, 4 and 5, I bought this for loved it--so did their parents. We all spent hours putting it together, one building at a time, and laughing. It is packaged in separate boxes for each part, which is great. Since it is big and a lot of pieces, containing it in one area, like a table is helpful. Then you need several storage boxes!
